About Kedarnath Dham
Situated at 3,580 meters in the Garhwal Himalayas , Shree Kedarnath Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and a key site in the Chota Char Dham Pilgrimage.
It is among the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams and holds special importance in the Panch Kedars. The temple is believed to be where Lord Shiva forgave the Pandavas after the Mahabharata, and its self-manifested lingam is considered naturally formed.
It is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site including Valley of Flowers National Park and Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, attracting thousands of pilgrims each year.
